Latton December 2012 & January 2013
 
        It's wet again at the Basin.  Peter Mason sent me some pictures taken on 24th December and John Minns and I visited on the 9th January.  As you can see the water levels are very high.  The water is coming from every direction.  From the ditch/stream beyond the Thames & Severn Canal, overflowing from the River Churn into the the field west of the Basin, and apparently running back up along the ditches to the east as the water running down the Mill Leat meets the River Churn and has no where else to go. 
We have cancelled the January work party, hopefully we will be back as usual for February.
